Good article by Frank Bruni about all of this in the New York Times today. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/12/21/opinion/the-plague-of-early-decision.html?smid=tw-share&_r=0&referer
Actually, it’s just the opposite. Because of the mess, Tulane told the New York Times what their EA stats were for this year, something they normally don’t release. They are included on the list.
Emory ED http://news.emory.edu/stories/2016/12/er_early_decision_class_2021/campus.html
Because of Emory’s quirk of having two separate campuses, I have to spend some time to figure out the numbers, so for now here’s the link only.
Emory ED: 474 out of 1493 (31.7%)
Emory (Oxford College) ED: 190 out of 712 (26.7%)
Adding Emory ED:
MIT EA 657 out of 8394 (7.8%) (def=69.7%, rej=22.4%)
Georgetown EA 931 out of 7822 (11.9%)(def=88.1%)
Harvard SCEA 938 out of 6473 (14.5%)
Princeton SCEA 770 out of 5003 (15.4%)
Yale SCEA 871 out of 5086 (17.1%) (def=52.7%, rej=28.6%)
Brown ED 695 out of 3170 (21.9%)(def=60%, rej=18%)
Penn ED 1354 out of 6147 (22.0%)
Notre Dame REA 1470 out of 6020 (24.4%) (893 def=14.8%)
Duke ED 861 out of 3516 (24.5%)(def,671=19.1%)
Cornell ED ~1379 out of 5384 (25.6%)(def=20.9%, rej=53.5%)
Dartmouth ED 555 out of 1999 (27.8%)
Tulane EA 6480 out of 22,256 (29.1%)
Johns Hopkins ED 591 out of 1934 (30.6%)
Emory ED: 474 out of 1493 (31.7%)
Williams ED 257 out of 728 (35.3%)
Middlebury ED1 343 out of 673 (51.0%) (def,60=8.9%, rej,270=40.1%)
University of Georgia EA 8059 out of 15,614 (51.6%)
Any info on UChicago EA/ED I?
No, nothing on UChicago. They have traditionally not provided information about their EA acceptance rate, and even though they have now gone to an “all of the above” admissions policy, I doubt they have changed their strongly held view that nothing is to be gained from releasing their admissions data.
Northwestern usually provides the full data on ED by now, but this year they have not. This blog post from November is the only data that we have. https://dailynorthwestern.com/2016/11/15/campus/early-decision-applications-increase-by-more-than-20-percent-this-year/
Based on what the enrollment officer for Northwestern said (“he expects the Early Decision round to fill roughly half of next year’s incoming first year class, which is expected to total 1925 students”) we can estimate NU’s ED admission rate. I doubt the true number is this low (since Northwestern accepted 1061 or 55% of the class the prior year which gave them a ED acceptance rate in the mid 30%s), but we’ll fix it when they are more forthcoming with their final data.
Adding Northwestern ED:
MIT EA 657 out of 8394 (7.8%) (def=69.7%, rej=22.4%)
Georgetown EA 931 out of 7822 (11.9%)(def=88.1%)

Duke ED 861 out of 3516 (24.5%)(def,671=19.1%)
Cornell ED ~1379 out of 5384 (25.6%)(def=20.9%, rej=53.5%)
Northwestern ED ~963 out of 3736 (~25.7%)
Dartmouth ED 555 out of 1999 (27.8%)

Dickinson releases some data, but not enough to calculate an acceptance rate Does anyone know how many EDI applications were submitted to Dickinson this year?
Per a post by the admissions officer of Boston College (BC section) the EA admit rate was 32% :

What about wake forest???
Nothing about Wake Forest yet.
Here’s an article about UCLA’s record RD application numbers. 102,000!

Here is the data sheet produced by the University of California system showing the number of applications across all campuses for freshman entering fall 2017. Since it was not possible to present as a table I would recommend clicking on the link to view it.

At the website, the UC system provides a lot of admissions data by ethnicity/race/income/first gen/international/in-state/out-of-state, so it is worth digging through it if you want more information. I wish other state schools would provide similar data. http://www.ucop.edu/institutional-research-academic-planning/content-analysis/ug-admissions/student-workforce-pages/2017-applications.html
Does anyone know what Harvard’s EA deferral rate was this year (or last year) ?
Last year is here: http://www.thecrimson.com/article/2015/12/11/early-action-class-2020/
Carnegie Mellon?
Do you have any information on University of Michigan? Thanks!
@spayurpets not sure if you can accurately deduce NU’s ED acceptance rate from this, but it does say ~26% of early applicants were accepted! https://dailynorthwestern.com/2017/01/05/campus/northwestern-acceptance-rate-projected-to-fall-below-10-percent/
