college anticipation getting to you?

I wanna leave and get to college sooooo badly. but i have to wait till sept. 24!!!!!!! ARGH summer seems so slooow.....

namaste and bruinboy: We're in the same boat.

Damn ucla!!!! I wish they could start the same time everyone else is starting.

All I can think about is how much I want summer to end already..august 19th, can't wait.

I'm ready to start school so I can graduate and then anticipate college.

Don't say that. Senior year is a whole lot of fun in high school, so just ride it out. I imagine it won't be nearly as awesome as my first year in college, but senior year is fun in it's own right.

Yeah, senior year was easily my best year of high school. Everything pretty much fell into place--the end came too soon but not soon enough, you know what I mean?

Senior year's a blast but half the time you are busy applying for colleges and studying for Ap tests. XP But you'll just be like "i can't wait to goto college" .. i told myself that i would not do that and just ride it out, but it was impossible.. i couldn't wait for summer

But one good thing is that you skip alot.. XP because u don't give a damn anymore (i was really close to not getting credit in my elective class that doesn't really even matter.. but still)

I personally wouldn't mind starting in September.. why does USC start so quickly nervous

I'm looking forward to senior year, but I'm still more excited about college. I guess it's an "uncharted territory" complex.

yup almost every bruin i've talked to is upset about this late start... and we get out 3-5 weeks later than everyone too

I start August 15, and it cant come fast enough

3 weeks and haven't packed nil. it's not hitting me.

I can't wait to leave...But then I keep reminding myself of all the things I still have to do before I go...23 days...wow.

I can't wait, I leave August 29th and the closer that day comes the slower the days go by.

I'm kind of nervous, but in an excited way. It'll just be so much different.

kinda, then I think about the work and how 3 weeks in I'm going to wish it was summer again

aug 16 is really close :D

I'm so bored of waiting...

the work can be tough, but college is seriously SO much better than high school. you will not regret it or wish you were back there, if only for the freedom you get. Plus, I don't really think most of the gen ed requirements are THAT much harder than high school anyway. Once you get into your major stuff, most likely (well, depending on what you're going into), but the gen ed stuff is (most of the time) not that hard.

^ it's like your transition to middle school high school whatever isn't it? Middle school's really different from elementary school but it's better... high school's kinda different from middle school but then middle school's gay as hell (actually i don't think i ever liked middle school) so.. XP it shall be interesting!

elementary school was okay for me, but that's because the serious picking on didn't start (for me at least) until middle school when puberty hit and everyone turned into a douchebag. Middle school ---> High school was better, but I was a nerd in high school so I still didn't really like it that much. Our school was small so the gossip train was like CNN, it freakin never stopped.

High school--> College was the best thing that ever happened to me, seriously. I have a social life, alot of friends, fun activities I enjoy, FREEDOM... college is completely on another realm from high school to be honest. Like, if high school was ice cream, it'd be expired vanilla. College is fresh, cold double chocolate fudge ice cream with caramel. THAT is how much better it is.

I have to ask. What the hell does XP mean. I only see it in your (uyulove) posts.
