College app season, chances for math guy

<p>I was wondering if someone could give me some heads-up at my chances at MIT.
I am a junior at a strong public school in Washington. I am looking to major in applied math, and MIT is my dream school.
-SAT: 2310 (800 Math, 760 Writing, 750 CR)
-SAT II Physics: 800
-SAT II Chemistry: 800
-SAT II Math IIc: 800
-Physics Bowl: 28
-AMC 12: 105.5- 10th 118.5- 11th
-AIME: 4-10th, missed it in 11th grade because I crashed my car in the morning, and missed the first 4 hours of the day because parents were not home. 'Kicks himself'
-GPA(uw): 4.0, so obviously all grades below are A's
-9th grade:

Physical Science
World History
-10th grade:
Physics
Chemistry
Honors English 10

Physics C (5 on M, 5 on E&M)
Chemistry AP (5)
Computer Science AP (5)
Honors English 11
Spanish 3
Govt. AP self-study (4)

11th: Diff EQ (A), Real Analysis (proofs- A), Modern Algebra (proofs- A)
12th (planned): Partial Diff Equations, Discrete Math, Number Theory

-Recs:
I think the one from my physics teacher should be excellent (likes me, nominated me for USAPhO, which I bombed). My math teacher should be okay, but he doesn't like me too much, he only thinks I am smart. I am dead on the humanities one.
-My own analysis:
I think my biggest problem are lack of EC's and inconsistency. (i.e. 4 on AP Stats and Calculus, C+ in Complex Analysis, but A's in 5 other advanced math courses, and a 4.0 GPA). Plus my AIME score isn't that good. I took the test this year for fun afterwards and got a 8, so I am mad about missing.</p>

<p>Thanks for comments!</p>

<p>Rather than thinking you have a "lack of EC's", you might ask yourself, "What am I passionate about, and how does that show in my activities and how I describe my interests?"</p>

<p>Your stats will likely get you past the gatekeeping; after that, think about what you would bring as a potential Class of '10 member. What will you be doing this summer?</p>

<p>I think you have an awesome chance. My stats aren't nearly as good as yours, and I got in. Also, it looks like we took similar classes and participated in similar ECs (minus AIME). w00t, w00t, to the Northwest! I'm from Oregon, btw.... :)</p>

<p>Best of luck to you!!!</p>

<p>Hmm... what math classes did you take each year?</p>

<p>freshman: pre-calc
sophomore: calc I and II
junior: calc III, IV, applied differential equations
junior summer: advanced multivariate calc
senior: prob/stat, applied linear algebra, number theory</p>

<p>to mootmom: a math camp</p>

<p>Are you from the Seattle/Bellevue area?</p>

<p>I got in, and my math/science things weren't as strong as yours, though I had a bunch of strong ECs. However, considering all the math you've had, I think you have a good chance.</p>
