Total schools: 13

Total Cost to apply : $780

Well, the cost horrifies me. And even more, I want to pare down my number of schools so i don't waste over $1000 dollars on apps of schools I would never get into.
So something has to give, therefore, I'm asking you, CC people to help me lose some of my colleges- that I would never get into so I can save my app money. and recommend colleges that make more sense
The truth hurts.

And that's all I have to offer

Ditch NYU because if you don’t want to spend 1000 on applying to college, its unlikely they will give you enough aid to make it attractive (to you)

Math is bringing you down for the SAT’s. You really have to bring that up to mid-700s to have a shot at Ivys. Even with that, your class rank (10%) can’t guarantee anything at this moment.

I never say no to predictions, as there’s always 0.01% chance of someone getting into a school. But I say that your chances are very unlikely for Ivy league schools.

Btw, retake those SAT II’s if you want a better chance. They are hurting you more than helping you.

That math score is gonna hurt a lot. Princeton seems really unlikely since they have the highest score cutoff. rank hurts too. ivies seem all like mid-high reaches.
others have a shot.

Math score is out of range for Ivies, as has been said, but everything else looks okay. I would say you’re in at 2 or 3 of your matches. I would also probably narrow down your reaches to the two schools that would really excite you to be accepted to/go to more than any others.

All these people asking you to “chance” them back are students in the same place in the application process as you, and are therefore not qualified to asses your “chances” of admission. Don’t make any large changes relying only on the advice given here.

i agree with billymc not to put too much weight on other people’s recommendations but its nice to get an outside view of things, sometimes it is hard to take a step back and take a look at your numbers and chances critically, so while we might not know everything its just another perspective

i know. i know. i caved in. i just need something to ease the absolute terror that shrouds april 1st in my head. i need to hear other people’s opinions outside my over optimistic mind and my prestige-hungry parents’ mind.
ex. princeton
ex. columbia-
i’m thinking of deleting princeton.

I know i will retake my sat to raise my math score. I just want other opinions right now. but, yes, i will weigh each chance with a grain of salt.
