My roommates birthday is December 14 and mine is December 15
This is usually a dealbreaker for most people. You should probably find a new roommate with a birthday much more compatible to yours, such as March 8th or October 17th.
Unless you go to a quarter school you’ll probably be too tired during/ after finals to party.

You will engage in a duel to the death with your roommate, with thoughts of a surprise birthday fueling your vicious offensive. Eventually, the strongest of you two will emerge victorious, while the weaker one will be left as a husk on the ground, forgotten for all eternity.
And then you get your bday celebration right before finals. Congratulations 
If this is a serious question, it is just like having two birthdays two weeks apart, especially if you have different groups of friends. I have a pretty common seeming birthday, so I am used to sharing birthdays with classmates. But yes, Many if not most schools have exams during the weeks around your birthdays.
No, it’s not a dealbreaker. I’m pretty sure it’ll be far more convenient to celebrate both at the same time.
I wish I had these sorts of problems.
My summer roommate and I both coincidentally had the same birthday. We were paired off completely randomly, but I secretly suspect a residence life conspiracy. We got up, wished eachother a happy birthday really loudly, and went our separate ways. Since he was two years older (turning 21), he went out to celebrate with some friends and I celebrated with my own friends. He brought some champagne back to share and I gave him some cake, so overall I’d say it was a pretty successful day
