How do you celebrate your birthday on campus?

<p>You bake some cupcakes! Only you hide viagra in some of them, and acid in some of the others… then watch the fun begin!</p>

<p>There’s no standard ritual: usually a cake, a birthday song, some friends, and cracking open a few beers. </p>

<p>Unless you’re turning 21. Then you get blackout trashed.</p>

<p>I’ve gone to the same restaurant all three years now, then gone back to my place of residence and gotten trashed. I didn’t hit the bars on my 21st because it was a Sunday night and I’ve been drinking at bars since I was 18 anyway, but since there were no classes the next day we had a pretty huge party in my apartment.</p>

<p>Well this year (my 20th) I went to the casino for a night and won $3k. That was nice. :)</p>

Either you can have a “classy” affair with you and your best friends in the dorms, get dressed up, be silly, play drinking games etc. (but this involves a little organization, which college students aren’t very good at doing) or can just go out to a party, tell random strangers that it is your birthday and get wasted. Birthday presents are essentially nonexistent, unless you count gag toys for laughs (hey, we are all broke!)</p>

<p>Well, 2/3 colleges I’ve taken classes at have rituals. At one, you get thrown into the shower on your birthday, at the other they throw you in the fountain in the main quad. The fountain-school is where I’m going for undergrad :] I’m not telling anyone when my birthday is.</p>

my 20th birthday is on the 29th and it’ll be my second day in paris!!</p>

<p>Umm, no. I’m not a beauty pageant contestant, and don’t plan to be one ever (thank you very much!) :P</p>
