My passport name is Elisa Margaret Jones so it is my official full name. What should I use for signing up in College Board in the following:
First (given) name:
Middle initial: (optional)
Last name (surname):

Also, I have just finished my A levels in May/June session. The results will be available in August. What should i fill in the following:
High school graduation: Month- Year-

Will I have to give Zip/Postal code for outside the US?

Elisa, isn’t Margaret your middle name? If your first name is Elisa Margaret, then fill that whole thing into the first name section.

My daughter has a double first name, but also a middle name (I always hated my name, so I gave her three to choose from ). She fills in both her first names into the first name spot.

The biggest thing isn’t really how you do it, but that it matches your ID and that you are consistent using that exact same way moving forward with all your college apps and correspondence.

And I would put June.

Don’t worry, you will not be the only student from overseas to fill this out. All your other information will let the reader know that you are not a typical US high school student.

Afg2014, thanks a ton! So it should be:
First Name: Elisa Margaret
Last Name: Jones
right? Nothing for Middle initial?
So ultimately it’d look like Elisa Margaret Jones, right? Thanks!

Regarding graduation date - I get confused by British “levels” and GSCE etc. After taking these “A levels” are you done with your schooling? or do you have to go back for another year? If you are not ready to enter university until next year, I would put your graduation date as when you finish all the secondary schooling prior to university.

Yes after the A Levels we are done with our schooling. I was confused as we finish attending the exams in May and get the results in August. What should be done then @VSGPeanut101 ?

The College Board is just trying to track which cohort you belong in (2014 vs. 2015) and the May vs. August 2014 will not really matter either way. The date you give them does not matter for testing or for college admissions.

I would put the date when you last attend class or sit for tests. If you don’t have any formal return to school for a send off, the test date will likely be your graduation date.

If you and your classmates don’t consider yourselves “done” until you get passing results back, then there is no harm in putting August for graduation date.

Put your name in the same format you will put in your applications. If you will put Elisa Margaret on the “first name” blank in other forms, do the same here. Again, the key item is that they can match/track you between the Common Application and the College Board.
