hi, im a male who is currently a junior. I go to a top top public hs and have a 3.85 W gpa (w/o foreign language it is actually 4.05 idk if that would help). i am enrolled in 3 AP classes this year, and will take 4 next year. I took AP World and scored a 4 soph year. I have taken the SAT 2 time (still waiting on my second results). my first time i scored a 1300/1600 and 1850/2400 (not to well on writing but most schools dont look at that). I have 300+ hours of community service with special olympics and have won may awards i also hold many leadership positions in school clubs.

so....
do i have a shot at
wake forest, U Richmond, Tulane, NYU, GW or American those are all my top choices

You should be a good candidate. But don’t stress if you don’t get in if you’re not majoring in law or something like that. I’ve talked to a lot of people with great careers who all say that it doesn’t matter where you go to school.

Tulane, NYU, and GW may be reaches, but they are 100% worth the shot at all three. You should have a great chance at the others. You seem to have a very realistic list (something too few have on here), keep working and you should be in a great position.

There is a “What are my Chances?” thread on CC but that place is scary and demoralizing - so I guess it is better that you posted here.

If your results for the second retake put you at a 2000+, you should be solid for all of those schools; not safeties, per se, but a definite chance for all of them.

Good luck.
