<p>Hello fellow CCers. I am a senior-1rst semester, international student studying in an international school.
I am interested to know my chances for the following universities:
Purdue, Georgia Tech, UC. Berkeley, Univ. of Toronto and McGill.</p>
<p>My school grading is out of 4.3, with:
A+ (98-100) being 4.3
A (94-97) being 4
A- (90-93) being 3.7.
B+ (87-89) being 3.3
and so on...</p>
<p>Weighted GPA for IB and AP courses are out of 4.8. +0.5 weight is added.</p>
<p>Resume:</p>
<p>Grade 9:
Physics, Chemistry, Accelerated Geometry, English, Modern World History and some electives.
- Received A- and As in all of them except a C and B+ in English.
GPA: 3.7</p>
<p>Grade 10:
Physics, Chemistry, Accelerated Advanced Algebra, Advanced Algebra, English, World History and some electives.
- Received A- and As in all except a C in Accelerated Advanced Algebra and (after dropping the course), A+ in AA.
GPA: 3.6</p>
<p>Grade 11: I took 7 IB courses.
Chem HL, Physics HL, Econ HL, Maths SL, English SL, French AB SL, ComputerScience SL ( 1 year)
GPA: 3.55</p>
<p>In IB Computer Science SL examination, I received a 6.</p>
<p>Cumulative unweighted (grade 9-10) = 3.64 GPA
Cumulated weighted (grade 11) = 3.55 GPA </p>
<p>Official School Transcript GPA: 3.60</p>
<p>SAT score = 710 (M) , 650 (Cr) , 680 (W) = 2030</p>
<p>ECs:</p>
<p>Chess Vice President.
Table Tennis Vice President.
Arranged many Chess tournaments. Came 2nd in all highschool Chess tournament.
Organized Table Tennis tournaments.
Loads of community works...(too many to name)</p>
<p>I have decent ECs but my GPA is below par for most of the colleges. Most probably my predicted IB score will be around 35.</p>
<p>I am interested to know my chances for:
Purdue, Georgia Tech, UC. Berkeley, Univ. of Toronto and McGill.
Any suggestion/comments will be fine. I am applying early for all the universities.</p>
