I’m assuming this was done by totaling up my credits. I have a lot of credits from a previous stint about a decade ago. However, I went back to school to study something completely different – one very sequential, with a lot of studio and specialized classes. I’m transferring next year and, for most of the schools I’m considering, I’ll be a junior in my program. But since my FAFSA now lists me as a senior, will this affect my ability to receive FA? (2016-2017 is the first year I’ve used the Pell grant, and I was counting on being able to use it through the end of my degree.) Thanks for the help.
Loans are the only thing affected by year in school for federal aid. Junior and senior annual limits are the same, so it shouldn’t be an issue for you.
Thanks for the info!
