Hello, I am a transfer student who will be attending a csu starting fall. I got accepted to a few places but my top ones are csulb, sdsu and sjsu. I am from the Bay Area and I would like to hopefully find a career here after college, I like the area. I majoring in business marketing and for a scenery change would enjoy sdsu but I fear that going there will make it harder to find a job/intern up here in the Bay Area afterwards. Sjsu is a great school and I've known a lot of people who got recruited out of the school for business jobs being in the Silicon Valley. Can any of you tell me how important it is to go to school where you want a career? I feel if I went to sdsu it would be a lot harder to acquire a job up here. Can any of you give me insight on my predicament? Thank you

Yes, there is a local bias in recruiting – many smaller companies do not have the budget to recruit at more distant schools, so they recruit mostly at local schools.
