College Choice Question

I'm having a difficult time deciding what college I should put as first pick. Although I've read it's not really a big deal, I'd still like to be confident with my choice.

Basically, I'm trying to decide between Stanford, Princeton, and a local public university. Is it true that Stanford and Princeton could care less and that they don't give any scholarships for NMSF? I know that the local university gives NMSF scholarships, so I'm leaning towards putting it as my first choice.

Should I put the local university, or might there be some advantage in putting Stanford or Princeton?

Thanks in advance!

There’s no advantage putting Stanford or Princeton. Too many of their applicants are NMFs so they don’t care and they don’t give NMF scholarships.

If you wouldn’t want to go to your local state school, then put another school that would give a big NMF scholarship - that can be your financial safety school. However, if you love your local state school, then choose that one.

Ok, thanks! I’ll just put my local school because even though I’m hoping to get into Princeton or Stanford, I’m stilling considering the local school.
