College Class Lingo??

<p>Hi! So can anyone shed some light on how colleges name their classes? For example, I found out by reading through several posts that Math141 is Calc II. So how does the system work when translating numbers over to the more universally know class titles?</p>

<p>I get the impression she wasn’t asking for the list of classes but more how they decide what to name a class or when they know the name of a class what number to assign it. Get what I mean?</p>
