College Class of 2017

If the job is specifically listed as work study, then there you go. Work study is partially paid for by the government.

Some jobs on campus can be paid through a federal work study and some can’t. My school terms both work studies though. The only difference is who is paying, really.

Idk if it’s like this elsewhere, but at my school there are some jobs that are off limits to those without WS in their aid packages.

We have four stalls, I can shave and condition in 15 minutes tops. Schedule would suck. I’m usually early to rise and I shower in the morning, so we’ll see how that works. Otherwise I could always shower in the middle of the day or at night. Chances are I’ll shower multiple times anyway.

I bought the pods for laundry.

And at my school some jobs are labeled “Work Study” non- work study jobs are for the rest of the kids w/o work study

Btw, alexisss, I accidentally stumbled upon you on facebook…

I don’t think there are many books nor movies (they should really do a big documentary on the average life of a college students).

If you’re looking for preparing I would go to youtube. But college is what YOU make it, not what some people did in a book. The best way to prepare for college imo is to listen to what college-goers have to say.

Don’t lie to her. You knew you was STALKIN’.

So one steam sale later, and I have six new games. Hopefully that’ll get me through 1st semester until the winter sale. =P

Does minty fresh have a crush on alexisss… Waited this isn’t high school nevermind.

ANYWAY…past whatever creepy thing was going on there…

@FastNeutrino DANG!! How fast do you go through games?!

Everyone! I need your help!! What is the shelf like thing you put on top of a desk? Like not a filing thing, an actually other piece of furniture. Sorry this has been bugging me forever.

I don’t understand… is it attached to the deck or above a deck… If above (like I saw at my school) idk maybe you can put books on it?

Its not attached. You can put books and stuff on it…idk how to describe it. All I know is that I really want to buy one bad, but I can’t figure out what to search for.

“over the desk shelf”

They’re called desk hutches if you’re talking about the ones that go on the desk

YESSS!!! Thank you Jade!! :D

No problem. Older students who are moving off campus are selling their old ones on our Facebook page. Only way I know that.

I’m so nervous I’m bringing too much right now. I have to pack my stuff in boxes (can’t afford to get tubs), so all the sizing and stuff is weird. Like I have so many weird boxes.

If you don’t have a lot of stuffs, you’re doing it wrong. Unless you are getting some stuffs at the target or Walmart near your college

That awkward moment…when you knew it was called a hutch…but you didn’t say anything.

If you don’t have a lot of stuff, you’re doing it right. Freshmen overpack. We’re doing the Bed, Bath, and Beyond thing where you pick it up at a location near your university.

I’m pretty upset that I can take all of my shoes but not the boxes they’re in :frowning: I would need 2 suitcases to fit them all…

and I really don’t have that much… I have 2 flat bins, 3 small boxes with like soaps and stuff, a big box with extra things I wouldn’t fit in the tub and then my clothes and shoes.
