Anyone know of any good scholarships to apply for? All responses are greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

The best scholarships are those that come directly from the universities.

Most private scholarships are very competitive and are for minimal amounts; they typically don’t carry over for four years.
What kind of funding do you need?

We found very good scholarships from some universities, and no scholarships at all from other universities. At least for us the difference between the most expensive university and the least expensive university was huge (perhaps a $30,000 to $300,000 range for four years). Also, it was not correlated with ranking. For example the highest ranked university that either daughter got accepted to was one of the least expensive, and the second highest ranked was the most expensive.

Also some scholarships are only available for people with specific characteristics, with a wide range of “characteristics” considered.

I think that we need more information to give you a particularly useful answer.

Are you a junior or a senior?
Were you admitted anywhere?
What’s your budget (what parents can afford from income and savings)?

The best financial aid (scholarships) comes from the universities themselves, but you have to target them carefully because each calculates the way they want. You have an idea if you used their NPC (net price calculator), which you should do before you apply to any university if you’re a junior.

Well…in August 2020, you said you were going to be a HS junior…so I’m guessing you are now a HS junior.

You need to start looking at what the colleges offer. The best scholarships come from the colleges where you are admitted and also qualify for merit aid.

What is your GPA? Have you taken the SAT or ACT?

What is your home state? Any preferences regarding locations or majors in your college search?

The questions in the above post need to be answered as well.

If you provide some information, folks here can better direct you.
