Hey guys, my name is Danny and I'm enrolling to CMU as an ECE major in the fall. I'm new on here but my dad has been reading the forums for a while. I have a couple questions about this form that is found on the "Now That I'm Enrolling" page that is due today. First of all, it is under the heading "What to Expect in the Mail." I never got a hard copy of this form in the mail. Second of all, how are we supposed to know our AP results yet? I think scores come back in a couple of weeks. Should I just send in the form?

Thanks for your help, this seems to be a very helpful forum.

I just put my scores from previous years and listed what tests I had taken this year. I'm not exactly sure what they need this form for - they are already getting an official score report from College Board.

The score report doesn't go directly to advisors, and the advisors generally don't get the scores for awhile, so they have you self-report scores so that they can do scheduling. Later they verify that you told the truth.

Is this College Credit/AP Credit paper part of the welcome packet? I didn't know we were supposed to write down scores, since they asked for it by July 1st, and AP scores have not been mailed (at least not to me). Eeep! Should I call them first thing tomorrow? Help!

AP scores are sent out at the end of July. I believe that they are asking you to report past scores and simply list what tests you took this year. They are not expecting you to have scores from this year as they havent been released. No need to call them as long as you have sent it in already.

Unfortunately, I did not write down my AP score on the College Credit Assessment/Advisement Form, although I did write down my AP score on my application (I doubt they'll still have this though). It was only one exam (AP Chemistry), and the others I did not receive (since I took them in May 2006).

P.S.- Does anyone know the URL where I can find housing assignments (some people seem to already know)? Thanks

Wait I just put the tests I took without my scores. I hope this doesn't prevent me from getting vredit for calc BC. And doesn't the score report show all the tests you've previously taken?

For housing info, go to http://cmu.edu/hub/ then to student information online. On the part of the site with billing, you should see a charge for some sort of room. "MWD DBL STD" means a morewood e-tower room, for example.
