Hi, so I am taking a college-run course in high school which would offer 3 elective credits at the end. However, I am not doing so well in this class due to senioritis, for a lack of a better word. Am I required to accept these credits and thereby accept a mediocre grade on my college transcript prior to even attending?

Most likely not, if you’re sending it in as transfer credit. Most likely you just sit and do nothing and it doesn’t send over. (As in you have to order college transcripts generally to send the credit over). But if you’re attending the college that is somehow giving you this college credit, it’s going to stick.

Most colleges do not include grades from transferred course credit in your GPA for that college. But medical and law schools will include all college grades in your GPA for the purpose of applying to them.

Even if I choose not to send in the grade for college credit. I.e. I do what other people have stated, I simply sit and wait.
