College Credits question

I’m not exactly sure where to post this, so I decided to post it on the college admissions since it is a somewhat important part of the admissions process (in my opinion as well as others who take APs for college credit).

Does anyone know (the exact or at least an estimate of) how many credits are needed and what courses are required for freshman year of college? I am planning to spend my senior taking as tough APs as I can, but I don’t want to take APs that aren’t “as important” as others to colleges. (Example: AP Stat is nowhere as important as AP Calc AB to colleges in regard for college credit, however they both look nice on a transcript.) This is an important question to those who have the same goal in mind for which there is no obvious answer. It feels like I’m asking a stupid question, but I can’t find it anywhere so… help?

There is no one answer. It depends on the school and program. MIT engineering will have different requirements than philosophy major at Amherst. Check the website or course catalog of the schools you are interested in.

It all depends, but most students take 8-10 courses their freshman year (24-30 credits on average).
