So I have narrowed it down to NYU Stern, UMich Ross (pre-admit), and UVA McIntire

My future career looks to be in Finance, possibly I-banking

Without considering campus (I like middle of NYC just as much as Charlottesville/Ann Arbor), where should I go based on:
-academic strength
-campus life
-fun
-professors
-sports
-facilities
-opportunities

hmm NYU is about 5k cheaper a year than the other two, but account for standard of living in NYC and transportation (I live in Ohio so MI and VA are closer) and its really not much

NYC> opportunities, fun

facilities are amazing

very competitive

You’ll meet amazing people (students and profs)

building connections
The list never ends…

all three are top-ranked business schools but as a university overall Michigan stands head-and-shoulders over NYU in academic reputation—and justifiably so

_academic strength - Tied
-campus life - Virginia
-fun - Virginia
-professors - tie
-sports - Michigan (from fan perspective, Virginia from a participation standpoint
-facilities - Virginia followed by Stern followed by Michigan
-opportunities - Stern gets the edge

-academic strength: Michigan, Ross is a more well-rounded business school overall
-campus life: Michigan/Virginia
-fun: Michigan/Virginia
-professors: about the same
-sports: Michigan
-facilities: Michigan, see the new ross building
-opportunities: Stern/Ross

thanks everyone…I agree with just about everything you’ve said (even though it seems a little contradictory), I guess it’ll just come down to preference

Quite interested in this thread. I’m also currently deciding between Virginia (McIntire) and NYU Stern and to a lesser exten tWashU Stl (Olin) and Northwestern. Right now, I’m leaning university of virginia because academically they’re about equal and Virginia has better weather (I know what a ridiculous standard to base college decisions on) and I’m guessing a better social atmosphere (haven’t visited NYU).
