Hello guys and gals, so for the last couple weeks I was SET on attending Farmers School of Business at Miami of Ohio. I have a passion for investing in the markets and Miami offers a great business program. However, after calculating all the costs and deciding that I didn’t want to put my family through any financial headaches especially since I don’t come from a family that has an abundance of money I decided that I must go to a school thats substantially less. I really wanted to go to Miami but I found my mom crying in her room scared on how much she and my dad would have to borrow from the government. It was a tough decision to say no to my dream school but I just don’t want to put my parents through hell. So as of right now I’m stuck between Ohio University, DePaul Univeristy and Northern Illinois University. Ohio was recently ranked 38 this year for undergrads which is great! But their finance degree doesn’t have any special recognition. Anyways, of th we schools which one do you think is best for my future? I know I want to for an investment bank when I’m older.
Have you been able to visit the schools?
which school would be easiest for your family to afford? fwiw, i know someone who went to Ohio U then on to law school at a top school and is now a successful lawyer. I’m sure you can be a success coming from there if you do well and get great internships
