<p>it coulod also be because it was lacking an essential nutrient or something. the test btw was out of 167 points when I finished (or gave the test my best shot) i spent the rest of the time counting points. </p>

<p>My IB Bio teacher was trying to get people to show up for the first test so I just showed up and took it. I got a 30. I was so surprised. I didn't even look at the material and I guess I just passed on my being in IB Biology HL and being in class and taking notes. I really need to start studying for the IB test. I could care less about this because I just took the test someday after school not even expecting to pass</p>
<p>Hmm... if I live in Korea, and have U.S. citizenship (going to international school), is it possible for me to take USABO first round here next year? I took Korean one last year but I could barely understand Korean :(</p>

<p>The cutoff scores must have been ridiculously high this year. In the past three years, the cutoff was always around or below 100. This year, it has to be at least low to mid 120s.</p>
<p>last year the exam was a pain and the cutoff was 80. And they won’t announce the finalist scores. This year they made it easier but they’re not releasing the scores. </p>

<p>It was definitely higher than 126.25. My teacher showed me the histogram…there were about 30 people above 120, but I don’t know what the cutoff was.</p>

<p>I wonder if they’re actually planning to release the finalist list. Technically, they don’t have to, since all the finalists already know that they made it. It would be nice, though.</p>
