They call it Bio boot camp. And that's a pretty accurate description.

And I thought the answer was sutures, but I'm not sure. There are times when more than one answer is correct and they count both. I'm really studying anatomy for semis.

And I thought the plant cell was a tracheid... It looked too long and tapered to be a vessel element. I hate the "identify the..." questions, especially if there's a picture. I can never tell with those black and white things.

I put vessel element, but I didn't find the picture.

@phos

What was the suture/plate question? (Word for word)

Was it: This joint is present in newborns, but vanishes quickly when they get older? (Something like that.)

Sutures form when newborns age a bit, but the soft spots in a baby is no joint. I'm probably not going to make it to Semis. However, Anatomy is quite fun.

I think it's possible. If I remember correctly, I think they came in early last year. I'm not sure at all...it may be that I just have a bad memory (which probably didn't help me on the USABO this year lol).

I really hope i made it, though the reward is only more tests. ::crosses fingers:: strangely i find bio boot camp to be extremely rewarding (or I suppose it would be. I would be so happy).

I actually would find it cool to make it to bio boot camp. Never been to something like it ... except I'm pretty sure my bio knowledge doesn't extend past semifinalist ... I don't think I even made it lol.
