They call it Bio boot camp. And that’s a pretty accurate description.

And I thought the answer was sutures, but I’m not sure. There are times when more than one answer is correct and they count both. I’m really studying anatomy for semis.

And I thought the plant cell was a tracheid… It looked too long and tapered to be a vessel element. I hate the “identify the…” questions, especially if there’s a picture. I can never tell with those black and white things.

I put vessel element, but I didn’t find the picture.

@phos

What was the suture/plate question? (Word for word)

Was it: This joint is present in newborns, but vanishes quickly when they get older? (Something like that.)

Sutures form when newborns age a bit, but the soft spots in a baby is no joint. I’m probably not going to make it to Semis. However, Anatomy is quite fun.

I think it’s possible. If I remember correctly, I think they came in early last year. I’m not sure at all…it may be that I just have a bad memory (which probably didn’t help me on the USABO this year lol).

I really hope i made it, though the reward is only more tests. ::crosses fingers:: strangely i find bio boot camp to be extremely rewarding (or I suppose it would be. I would be so happy).

I actually would find it cool to make it to bio boot camp. Never been to something like it … except I’m pretty sure my bio knowledge doesn’t extend past semifinalist … I don’t think I even made it lol.
