<p>^^ No, that’s not always correct. Admissions Directors keep track of other college’s essay topics – it’s part of their job to know what other schools are asking. If you send another college your UChicago specific essay, for example, they are going to know you have recycled your essay and that WILL color the way they perceive you as an applicant – as in “Gee, I guess we are this kid’s back-up school as they submitted their UChicago essay to us. Maybe we should waitlist them to gauge their actual interest.” Recycle with care and forethought. </p>
