What if one can't pay the $300 tuition deposit and the $200 housing deposit? Does college helps with that? What options do one have?

Are you expecting 100% awards or loans? If so, talk to your school. Our school said you could not apply funds for the freshman year to the deposit or housing, but I bet if I would talked to them they would have come up with a plan.

However, if you don’t have $500, you may want to rethink college at this time. It’s pretty rare to get everything taken care of with loans and scholarships. You’ll need toothpaste and pencils and gas and coffee. You need to find a source of cash, like a job. My daughter works about 12 hours per week at a fast food place and earns about $100, so that’s an option.

Cool. I have a job, I get pay every two weeks and work 15hrs a week $10 an hr! I might miss school for a week in order for me to make enough money because the due date is around the corner and my parents are not going to give me anything…
