Nebraska is in the middle of a complete change in culture. People who aren't from here and watch the program on a day to day basis don't understand just how far things had fallen...Last year was only the second year of change in two completely incompatible offenses. Things are going to hum for the huskers this year and we will win the Big XII North this year. We even have a decent shot at Texas since we play them in Lincoln.

Wisconsin?!? please...storied football tradition only extends those past 15 years since Barry Alavarez (a former Nebraska player I might add) showed up. Before that you guys had all the football tradition and success of Vanderbilt, with none of the southern charm and a goofier accent.

Bottom Line, SEC is the best conference top to bottom most years (but not always). You can't point to one school in a conference being successful and say that automatically makes the rest of the conference "not soft". It doesn't make any sense.

Thats two different schools from each the SEC, ACC, and Big 12. If you look at the Pac-10, even taking into account USC's co-championship in '03, thats the only school from the Pac-10 to win the Championship in the past 9 years or so.

Now look at teams that made it to the title game but didnt win:
1998-Florida State
1999-Virginia Tech
2000-Florida State
2001-Nebraska
2002-Miami
2003-Oklahoma
2004-Oklahoma
2005-USC

I see 3 different ACC schools made it to the title game, 2 different Big 12 schools, but only one Pac-10 school.

You had to bring up the LSU/USC thing didnt u? Well, u know that crystal ball that gets handed out to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONS at the end of the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, its called the AP National Championship Trophy, and do u know who received it in 2003? Thats right, USC.

And what the **** FerstAmmendment, what do u want me to say? I already said I believe the SEC is the best conference...what else do u want?

[color=red]'Actaully, FSU didnt play in the most, it tied for the most, with Okiehoma and USC.'[color]

Nope - FSU has played in the most BCS games to date. They have tied Oklahoma with the same record of Championship games, however. FSU is followed by Miami, another ACC team.

SEC is the best conference, but not top to bottom. Their good teams are great, but the bottom half is absolutely pathetic

I really hope you are not a fan of the Big12 or think it's tougher than the SEC at the bottom.... If you are, though, I have one word for you: Colorado

The SEC is the toughest conference if they are playing at home... if Tennessee would have traveled to Berkeley to play, they would have lost to Cal. College football is so much more about home field advantage than anything else really. Thus, the reason Florida State has 8 home games this season vs. only 4 road games.

Earlier u said: "And if you look...", which to me meant: "If u look at the list that FerstAmmendment posted...". So actually, what I said was true.

When did I ever say the Big 12's bottom half is better than the SEC's? Thats craziness. But both bottom halves are pathetic.
