College Football...

Everyone knows Rice has the best chant:

Rice fight never die,
Blue, gray, in the sky,
Stand, cheer, drink more beer
Go go gooooo Rice!

I’m a Ramblin Wreck From Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer
A helluva helluva helluva helluva helluvan engineer
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear, I’m a Ramblin Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer

Oh, If I had a daughter, sir, I’d dress her in White and Gold
And put her on the campus to cheer the brave and bold
And if I had a son, sir, I’ll tell you what he’d do, He would yell TO HELL WITH GEORGIA like his daddy used to do

I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds, A college bell to put it in, and a clapper to stir it round
I’d drink to all the good fellows who come from far and near, I’m a ramblin, gamblin hell of an engineer

WHATS THE GOOD WORD??

TO HELL WITH GEORGIA!!!

My girlfriend goes to GaTech, so I hear first verse of that song relatively often.

Mich won...word...Ohio St. won....boo.

Well, FSU pulled it out against the mighty Troy Trojans. I expected such a let down, after a short week and an emotional win against U Miami (Florida).

Perfect setting for an upset.

Glad Miami's recovered. Go ACC!

Hey FirstAmendment, righ back at ya! We just KILLED Texas, ahaha I laugh in your face, as well as Tripperian, see what that experienced line does now. All bow before the great OSU. God it feels great, revenge is always so sweet...

(This is all in good humor, do not be like others and take this as a personal offense, this has been a public serivce announcement)

"Hey FirstAmendment, righ back at ya! We just KILLED Texas, ahaha I laugh in your face, as well as Tripperian, see what that experienced line does now."

We? wow I didn't know you played football for osu? What position do you play?

Killed Texas? No, it was a close game until the end.

Drew00, those comments are really starting to get lame. Those "OMG I DIDNT KNOW U PLAYED COLLEGE BALL!!!!!1". Loyal hardcore football fans say "we" because we are a part of the team. We bleed our team colors, we buy team gear, we celebrate just as crazy as the players for a win, and we get very angry just like the players when we lose. Stick that in ur pipe.

Clearly a sign that you care way too much about a game you don't even play

If everyone at your university knew you were this pathetic, you'd be dead.

By the way, Tennessee and Air Force was way too close. ***?

"My girlfriend goes to GaTech, so I hear first verse of that song relatively often."

haha, werd. you're one of the out of state dudes that keep the few women we have here...taken :) its cool though

Just wait...give McCoy another year or two. I just don't like Big 10 teams

Another University of miami alum rb makes making waves in the nfl
Frankie Gore

lol Tripperian close game? comeon, you know that only touchdown you guys had was pretty questionable... we, I'm sorry Drew, "they" (OSU football team) definitely had the McCoy, McCorkle, whatever the freshman guys name was, shaking in his boots, the confidence he had was certainly pretty deflated after that, I will give him props however, he did take some pretty hard hits.
Drew, some of us like to take pride in our schools, it unifies that campus and certainly does no harm (except for riots), if anything it helps garner attention to our schools, and makes it more appealing. More pride in your school means more that you will do for it when you are there (e.g. volunteer work, campus tidying-up) and when you have left (donations, helping young interns). Sorry you don't feel that same way.... :)

Hey tripperian, what happened to Cal? I thought that they were supposed to challenge USC for the title this year? Wasn't USC supposed to be "rebuilding"? lol

Indiana's about to go 3-0 this weekend (Division 1-AA opponent). I'm excited, but I can only be happy for one more week. Then we play the hard teams, and we start our long losing streak. Whatever, i'll still root for my school.

Scratch that...

Cal played Tennessee....USC played Arkansas. There is a huge difference between those two teams. Who said they still cant challenge USC for the Pac-10 title? Cal is looking good after its 42-17 owning of Minnesota.

Good luck with ur Indiana team...lol

The way I see it, the pac-10 isn't exactly living up to what it used to be, its a pretty poor conference this year, outside 'SC who should have some successes I believe this season. Let's just hope is a rebuilding year for all the teams.

No reply needed.

What are u saying Minnesota sucks? They went 7-5 last year, which is the same record that Michigan had.

I can make stupid statements too! Vanderbilt went 5-6 last year, that was the same record Tennessee had!

Yes, they did go 7-5 last year. Then Laurence Maroney declared himself eligible for the draft, Gary Russell decided that classes weren't important, and they lost Eslinger and Setterstrom to the NFL (both were drafted). Yeah, bye bye 7-5 record. Minnesota will be lucky to finish above .500 this year.
