What do college grades even matter for. I am studying business at the Universtiy of Miami and curious as to what exactly my grades mean. I am a bit worried because I feel as if I am on pace for 4 B's and 1 A.

It depends on your aspirations and major.

In Engineering anywhere between a 2.7-3.5 will get you the exact same job at the exact same compensation level.

In Accounting, the difference between a 3.3 and a 3.8 is the difference between having a rather lousy bookkeeping job with few opportunities for promotion and working as an auditor traveling the world and having amazing career opportunities.

In Math/Physics/Biology it’s very important.

In the social sciences and humanities, 3.0-3.8 doesn’t make much of a difference for career prospects in many cases.

If you want to go to graduate school, GPA is important. Especially graduate schools outside of MBA or JD.

I don’t know, I think GPA might be even more important for JD (that and LSATs are basically the only things schools use for admissions).

The U!!
lllllllllll_____________llllllllllllll
That is a U^^^
I can’t answer your question. I just like that hand signal that they do haha, sorry

^ ***???

Also, college GPA’s are used to determine whether students have the drive/inspiration to succeed in college or not, for financial aid and scholarship purposes.
