College Help??

What college/university should I go to?
I want a liberal arts college/university that is:

Pretty
Small
Near or in a forest
Town or a city nearby (within walking distance)
Reasonable housing (I do like the upperclassman town house idea)
Cozy atmosphere
Limited Greek life
Looks at Writing on SAT
Accepts 4.0 and up WEIGHTED GPA (I have 4.2)
Accepts 1850 and up SAT score (I'm retaking the SAT of 1850)
Perhaps doesn't care about dreaded SAT 2's
Haunted
Magical quality (pretty, old...)
Traditional rather than modern
At least somewhere a nice wide library
Has Rock Climbing wall

I do like cities like Pittsburgh and Boston. But I also find small towns to be cute. Any of these wants may be optional, so if you know of a college that has some but not others, please write it down.

I have visited SCAD, Bucknell, Drew, Lafayette, St. Mary's, University of Maryland...
I am in Girl Scouts working on my Gold Award
I've 210 ssl hours and working towards 260.

I loved St. Mary's, but it was too secluded. I liked Chestnut Hill College, but it's catholic. ANd Bryn MAwr was beautiful, but all woman's. Which I am considering...

Have you looked at Franklin & Marshall? It's on the outskirts of Lancaster, a friendly arty comfortable small town (abet with some drug problems).

Swarthmore seems to have many of those things you are looking for. I don't know about the haunted and the rock climbing wall and the nice library, and I don't know whether it looks at writing on the SAT (why would anyone put that as a criterion?) but it seems like you'll like it. I think you should request more information about it.

Smith College is definitely worth considering. Smith has an open curriculum, and is known for academic excellence and small classes. Smith College students seem quite happy. Students are provided with terrific advising and mentoring, and available, committed professors.

Smith is part of a 5-college consortium (with Amherst, Hampshire, Mt. Holyoke and Univ Mass). You can take classes at any. There is a free shuttle bus to get to classes at the other campuses.

Also, Smith no longer requires SAT and ACT scores.

And BTW, Smith meets almost all of the criteria in your list including the rock climbing wall and, like a number of other colleges, the haunted thing Massachusetts Haunted Colleges
