College ideas??

<p>Hi there,
I am actually pretty lost at the moment when it comes to colleges (just in the sense that I can't really find one that a) I can get into and b) I am interested in).
If someone could give me an idea of what well-known schools would be a likely, a match and a reach for me so I could start looking from there that would be great.
SAT score: 1990
GPA (unweighted) 3.8
At the moment I'm not really looking for schools that necessarily interest me but just getting an idea of my likely, match, and reach schools and then going from there.
I have very strong ECs, and will have good essays
Thanks!</p>

<p>Too many to name based on that little information - could you perhaps let us know what part of the country and what state you live in as well as broadly what you might want to study - even if it is numerous possibilities.</p>

<p>You should qualify for a lot of great schools so you really need to narrow things down. Think about geographic location, size of school, area (rural/suburban/urban) what you can afford, and anything else that is important to you (ex. sports, frats). Then get a couple of college guide books (I like Fiske and Princeton Review but there are a ton out there) and start reading.</p>

<p>There’s a college search tool right here on College Confidential. [College</a> Admissions, Search, and Financial Aid Help from College Confidential - College Admissions, Search, and Financial Aid Help from College Confidential](<a href=“http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_search/]College”>http://www.collegeconfidential.com/college_search/)</p>

<p>Try Princeton Review’s and College Data’s tools as well.</p>

<p>I agree, start with a college search tool, narrow down your options and once you have compiled a list of potential schools, get some feedback on those.</p>
