<p>Some of the guides such as Princeton Review's Top 357 Colleges and the Fiske Guide to Colleges will list the most popular majors or strongest programs for each school listed. I'm not sure how much help it is but if the major is listed, then you can assume the school is good at it.</p>

<p>Rugg's Recommendations:
it's a great list and divides schools into tiers and size, then shows the strongest of each division for subjects.
i.e, for top tier Computer Science it shows things you'd expect like MIT, but also unexpected schools like Grinnell. That opened my eyes up to LAC's.</p>
