College + Job Opportunities

I hear that people at CAS get job opportunities similar to that of Wharton kids... is this a fair statement to make?

I ask this because while I do wish I could go to Wharton, my chances are much better at the College, and I think I may major in Econ anyways, and maybe go to Wharton for grad school after getting myself a job. Of course this may change, but just trying to itch my curiosity

If they major in economics/math/physics/some other similarly "actual science" major, then yes. Basket-weaving/women's studies, then no, not so much...

What about underwater basket weaving?

damnit, don't you have to study abroad for underwater basket weaving? thats gonna mess up my four year plan so badly.

I may have to go to Oceania abroad if I get in, they're pro at it!

Johnny, is it possible for people at SEAS to get offers for Management consulting? I'm not dead set on consulting, but having it as an option would be nice...

Yes, not much of a stretch either. One of the reasons the average salary of Penn SEAS grads is so strangely high given its engineering school rankings is because so few of its graduates actually go on to be....well...engineers ;)
