anywhere that there is a free shirt sign posted around campus, tons of students are sure to be found. what is the attraction of college kids to these often cheaply printed t-shirts, with lame slogans, and bad colors?

-and how many free shirts have you guys amassed so far? haha

I don't like free tee shirts because they don't fit me right! They're almost always XL, and I wear a medium if I want it to look good at all on me! In the rare event I do get a medium, it is sometimes a bit big on me and doesn't fit me right (I like my tees in muscle fit).

I've probably gotten about 50 free tees in the course of my lifetime. All but about 6 went to charity.

I love free t-shirts. My friends and I had a competition to see who could get the most....

1 pt. for free with strings (ie. volunteering or signing up for something)
2 pts for white L/XL crappy t-shirts
3pts. for color t-shirts that fit
5 pts for long sleeves.

because sometimes it's cheaper to order all one size but most of the time, it's just EASIER not to have to estimate how many of each size to get. but in ordering just one size, if the group/organization order say all smalls or all mediums, then larger people would complain that it's discriminatory and the whole thing would turn into a big hoopla about political correctness and what not. anyone can "wear" a larger shirt. notice the quotes on "wear". a lot of times, i get the "well you can shrink it" comment or "you can sleep in it". this usually doesn't bother me as the shirts tend to have crappy designs anyway, but when it's something i would wear out, i do get a bit frustrated. nevertheless, i do have many tshirts that i "can sleep in"...but i'm not going to walk around fussing about it. after all, they're free.
