College Life

Hello, I am a rising senior interested in Loyola. Unfortunately, this summer is extremely busy and I will not be able to visit Loyola before I apply in the fall. I was wondering if any Loyola students could tell me about getting internships there. Is it feasible to do and do any of you have first hand experiences with internships? My number one concern in college is being able to get a job after college, thus the interest in internships. The other schools I'm looking at are Northeastern, Drexel, and St. Joe's, which are all co-ops and I want to know the advantage of choosing Loyola over a co-op school.

Also, I am aware that Loyola, like St. Joe's, is a Jesuit school. I was wondering if a completely non-religious person would be able to fit in there.

THANK YOU!

I’m entering loyola as a freshmen this year and I’ve visited the school. It is exactly how other people described it, overall perfect. The campus is nice and all the dorm rooms for freshmen are great. During a tour I think that the tour guide said around 75% of the students identify themselves as catholic, so you don’t have to be a religious person. If your of another religion the tour guide said their open to even getting you to a church of your religion. When it comes to internships someone who worked their told me that they work towards helping you get internships, even after freshman year. The great thing about loyola is that it’s a small school compared to others so they can have more of a focus on the students.

Look up the Loyola Internship Challenge page. This program was highly successful this year.

okay thank you!
