College list suggestions

Hi, I’m currently a sophomore and I’ve been able to visit several schools already. I’m thinking about being a business major. So far, my favorites have been…
Michigan
Villanova
Northwestern
Norte Dame
I also visited Lehigh, Haverford, Case Wetsern, and Bucknell and did not love them as much.
I plan on visiting Northeatern, Boston College, Boston university, Indiana, UNC, Duke, and Wake Forest. If you have any suggestions of schools with solid business programs that seem similar to the schools listed above, please let me know.
**only schools within the Midwest/ East Coast areas please. Thanks!

Note that a lot of elite schools (Northwestern, Duke, Haveford, among those you mentioned) don’t have an undergraduate business major. They all offer economics, which is a subject all business students have to take; but it isn’t " business."

Okay thanks for the heads up. Any suggestions for additional schools for my list? @moooop

Babson. In a beautiful Boston suburb. Business studies exclusively. Has a great reputation with international students.

Indiana U, Georgetown Univ., Fordham. Michigan State. Miami U in Ohio.

Another thing to be aware of is that some colleges don’t accept freshmen into the business school…they have to apply to the bus. school after they have been there a year or 2.

What can your family afford? Right now you’re looking at public and private Us all across the country. They may not be affordable.

Fordham and BC have decent merit aid according to the NPC-have you tried either one?

@manykids2000 no I haven’t

@“Erin’s Dad” money won’t really be an issue

Michigan’s business school is very small and difficult to get into. Duke and NU are the most difficult to get into in general.

Lehigh and Case are very flexible in allowing students to change majors.

You might want to look at the University of Richmond.

@college_query yeah I’ve heard a lot about it on the app. What’s so great about it?

The University of Richmond has a business school. You had mentioned UNC, Wake Forest and Duke, so I thought you might be open to the area. It has a really beautiful campus. For us, the fact that they meet 100% of demonstrated financial need was a plus. For you, that may not be a factor, but they also give merit aid. They aren’t quite as selective as some other schools, so there’s a better chance of getting in. When we visited with my S, he really liked it a lot. It was perhaps his second choice. He ended up getting in ED to a selective LAC so he withdrew his application, but he felt he would have been very happy there. He also looked at Duke and UNC but liked the University of Richmond better.
