I am a junior from Michigan getting ready to fill out college apps. Could someone help me come up with a college list? I am interested in going out of state, but only if it is affordable. I have noticed that a lot of southern schools offer large scholarships. Where do you think I could go with my stats?
I am looking to major in something business related.

U of Michigan - Ross for sure. Getting a pre-admit to Ross is a reach for most people but it’s an awesome opportunity if you get in.
How much can your parents afford / year?
Yes, your flagship is a beast. There’s no need to go to any other state flagship with the U of Michigan in your back yard. IU would be a good nearby option for Business if you want one.
As for private schools that offer Business majors, in rough order of selectivity, here’s a start:
MIT
Penn (Wharton)
Cornell
WUSTL
Georgetown
Notre Dame
Carnegie Mellon
Emory
Washington & Lee
USC
NYU (Stern)
U of Richmond
Tulane
Bucknell
Boston College
Lehigh
Wake Forest
U of Miami
Boston University
SMU
Villanova
Pepperdine
GWU
Loyola U (MD)
St. Mary’s College (CA)
What’s your EFC? How much can your parents afford?
Denison (excellent commerce major) and Dickinson (international business) are good low matches for you if you show interest (fill out request info form).
South: usc Columbia has a highly selective international business program (look into the cohorts in particular) and a terrific honors college.
ASU Barrett is another excellent honors college with sun year-round.
Please ask your parents how much they’ll pay each year. Every year we hear from disappointed seniors who find out none of their schools are affordable, either because they never asked their parents, or their family wrongly assumed that they’d get much more aid then they did.
