College List - Where to apply???

This afternoon, I sat down to make a list of colleges I am seriously considering applying to. So far, this is what I came up with:
*Cornell U (Hotel School)
U Penn (Wharton)
NYU (Stern) *

Wake Forest (Business)
Emory U (Business)
UVA (Business)
UNC (Business)
U of Oregon (In-state)
Oregon State U (In-state)
Rice (Legacy - both parents and grandparent, Residential College System)
Yale (Financial Aid, Residential College System)
WUSTL (Business)
UC Berkeley (Business, closer to home)
U of Washington (Safety, Business)
Boston U (Business/Hotel)

I have listed the main reason or few reasons of applying to each school. The bolded schools are schools I am for sure applying to. My fourth school will be either U of O or OSU (advice?).

Cornell

U Penn

NYU

U of O or OSU

??????

??????
My first choice is Cornell.
I would like to narrow the list down to six (maybe seven or eight) schools.
My intended major would be business/hospitality administration...if none, then econ.
I typically like bigger schools, but would be willing to throw in an "out of the box" school. I would like to have at least one Southern school with business (emory, UVA, UNC, WUSTL or wake forest - advice on which one?).

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

If Cornell is your first choice, You can take Wharton and Yale off the list, no way you’re being rejected from the hotel school and accepted at those.

Do you need FA? I see you put that as a strength under Yale but you don’t mention it anywhere else. That could make a big difference on some schools (like Berkeley).

Yes, I will be applying for FA. I don’t quite know why I mentioned that only for Yale (as other Ivies have similar FA policies). Sorry for the confusion.

hmom5 - I hadn’t really thought about that - great point…although I would love to attend Wharton, I would choose Hotel School first. I will reconsider both those options.

Thanks! Any other advice would be great!
