College made me sick and gave me mold poisoning? Help appreciated

I'm a (kind of) sophomore at URI, and my first year was completely disastrous. I made very little friends and the few I made have almost all transferred out due to how badly they were treated by the school. I got incredibly depressed after a few outside of school issues made their way into my school life and then started getting incredibly sick. My gpa saw a drop from a 3.4 to a 2.1. I consistently went to the doctor and a counselor at school and was told that it was simply all stress from everything that was happening but I certainly didn't believe it as other people around me in my building started telling me that they were getting sick as well and then my roommate over winter break told me she was allergic to the mold in the building. I had been breaking out in rashes and having horrible headaches but I didn't think anything of it until it started getting so bad I couldn't function. I went to the health clinic at my school and told one of the nurses that I thought I had mold poisoning and that there was mold in my dorm and she told me that the school has,"known about it for years" and "can't do anything about it"

I had to eventually take medical leave where I went and got tested and found out I was extremely allergic to mold, and coincidentally I got a lot better. I had my allergist write up a note to the housing department explaining that I couldn't be placed in a dorm like that and that I needed to be put somewhere newer with less mold and such, and after forcing me to wait 3 months, they denied and threw out my request. I'm in a different building semester but the problem is still there, as the building now is much older, and has a roach infestation as well. I fear that I'm going to get really sick again. I tried reporting my school to the health department, they told me to report it to the town where my school is at, and the town told me to the state commissioner, who told me to report it to the school. I'm really frustrated and want to leave the school but can't now because my grades are so bad now that I can't transfer out. Oh and they also put 5 "withdrawals" on my record for me taking medical leave.

Any advice?

Call the Rhode Island Attorney General’s office.

Thank you. I will try that next.
