College Match to Columbia OR ED to Columbia?

<p>Columbia is my #1 college I am looking at. If I decide to rank my schools, Columbia would be the only school I would rank. Basically, I want to know which method will maximize my chances.</p>

<p>Should I do the College Match to Columbia? I now that if I do not get matched, I will still be reconsidered for regular decision. Or do I have better chances doing ED to Columbia? Would being a Questbridge finalist going through regular decision have a higher chance than ED to Columbia, since you basically applied "twice"?</p>

<p>I would apply ED as there is a higher percentage of admits then. If you do not get in ED, you likely will be rolled over into RD and if you are rejected ED you would not have made it ED any ways. Good luck! I think Columbia provides the best core in the country and have unsuccessfully tried to get my kids interested in it (NYC too big for them).</p>

<p>Ah, I agree! I love the core program and the flexibility at Columbia. I love the city as well. Thank you for your input.
However, would my chances of getting a finalist status be harder to get since I decided not to do the College Match?</p>
