for SEAS, which would give me a better edge?
1/3 acceptance rate for ED and idk the "rate" for questbridge but if you dont qualify for columbia through questbridge you have to apply RD... which is.. :/

I considered doing questbridge and it seemed like too much extra work for a marginal advantage. However, I hear that QB is pretty good–if you have the time to get everything done really early, do questbridge.

If you are a Junior then you need to apply to get into Questbridge this month.

Questbridge is Very time consuming. I takes a lot of dedication and Will.
Most think its a scam or fake, but it is genuine. As for ‘is it worth it’ it is if you get in its not if you don’t. You have to apply to get into Qb apply to get into the college match program then apply to get into the colleges, then once your a finalist you have to apply again the way the colleges want.

I was a stressful ordeal but I made it through and so can anyone who is determined.
btw I was accepted to a couple schools but my first choice was Columbia and I am going there next year. :P

and as for edge, I am unsure about edge but it would give you a hook, and if you minority/<socio economic=“” something=“”> it helps get you on the top of the pile.</socio>

Acceptance rates tell you almost nothing about getting into a college. You can’t make decisions based on rates. But if you’re really going by rates of acceptance, I’m pretty sure it’s lower than 1/3 for ED. According to last years statistics, 2524 applicants applied to Columbia ED for both schools and 596 were admitted to both. That’s roughly 24% of the applicants admitted. That’s around 1/4, not 1/3.

hmm i dunno if i should do questbridge. i do fit the ‘requirements’ though. but i’m not sure if its worth sacraficing my sacred ED :/. i am not a minority by the way. an unhook

hmm… well i could have applied through questbridge. but didnt because i mistakenly thought it was not a legitimate program. plus, i wanted to apply ED. so i just did that instead. i kinda regretted not doing the program b/c it probably does give you a hook. but i applied early & got deferred & now i’m stuck waiting. whereas if i applied questbridge i probably would have had to wait anyway. idk what you should do though

I wouldn’t apply through QB unless you are very eligible financially. I mean VERY. I would prolly go ED because you only have to qualify academically. It is also a lot of work if you only want to apply for one school.
