College minority acceptance

Hey, I know that if your an underrepresented minority, your chances for admissions is higher.
Is that true?
Do you think it'll be helpful for me to put my self down as Hakka?
Is Hakka considered a underrepresented group?

URM can help your chances for admission, but not by a lot and it depends on the school you apply to. At Stanford Asians are not considered a URM, but Native Americans are.

I’m not sure that at any top tier school Asians are considered a URM.

Asians make up 8% of the student body at Vanderbilt and the school has been heavily recruiting that demographic for the past five years or so.

George Washington is less than 7% black. I wonder if that will help me? I feel like that’s really a horrible thing to say… but it’s my top choice, so… what gets me in gets me in as long as it’s honest, right?
