<p>No, absolutely not. Dean J herself has said not to overthink the topic; if a movie is what you think of first and are passionate about, write about it. Personally, I wrote about a short film.</p>
<p>imo, it doesn’t matter if you choose to write about a film so long as you can answer the prompt in a meaningful way. If someone chose to write something they thought was ‘safe’ i could imagine it might not sound as compelling as a topic they were truly interested in.</p>
