It depends what you want to do. If science is your thing than I’d say definately go to CofC, their relationship with MUSC, NOAA, NIST etc. is very obvious. The science teachers are very difficult and knowledgable at CofC. It’s also nice to be in a smaller classroom size, with professors that know your name. It’s sometimes a little difficult to land internships/research due to the smaller size of the school, though most students can manage (myself included).

USC is probably slightly better for business, but I’ve always laughed at the fact they call themselves #1 international business school in the US. Regardless of the “quality” of the professors, (some of which are absolutely awful–words of USC students) I doubt their campus is as teaming with on-campus recruiters as a place like NYU, UPenn, or George Washington University. The plus side is it’s a big university so it’s probably easiest to get research for grad school here.

Coastal is a backup school. I’d only considering attending if you want to study marine biology, though CofC probably has at least of good as a program. A party and backup school.

Theres lovely girls and parties at all three schools. USC or CofC should be your top picks. USC has a more “football +fraternity college lifestyle” while charleston is a bit more artsy and funky.

Just my 2 cents
