Hi all,

I've yet to post on this forum, but I have a couple of questions regarding the transfer process for transfer students at the College of Charleston, or anyone who feels like contributing.

To preface, I am at the tail end of my 1st semester at SUNY Oswego after a 2 year travel gap post-HS, sending out my transfer applications for Fall 2013. I will be transferring 27 credits (12 Fall, 15 Spring).

1) According to collegeboard.com, the transfer acceptance rate at C of C is around 94%, which is incredibly high compared to every other school I am applying to, I'm just wondering if anyone else on here has transferred in to C of C, if so, what did your GPA, SAT's, EC's, etc look like?

2) Information on housing for transfers seems fairly vague on their website, if anyone has any input as to what to expect going into the transfer housing process at C of C, please chime in! Can transfers (Fall 2013 Sophomore) live in the historic houses? Other options aside from Freshman dorms?

3) I have heard that the campus itself can blend easily with the rest of downtown, I like the idea of being downtown in Charleston, however, I like a campus that still feels separate from its surroundings to an extent. I understand that being downtown makes that difficult, but I am wondering just how much the two blend together.

Thanks in advance for any input that is given, it really is appreciated.
