My DS is considering both College of Charleston and University of Delaware. He is interested in a career in the hospitality industry. Any thoughts as to the two schools and respective locations?

I would think C of C would offer some real on site advantages for his
prospective major. DS got in to both so having to decide that here as well.

Personally, I don’t think you can go wrong with either choice. My son is a very happy current freshman at UD (and I am an alum of the school) and my daughter and I just visited the College of Charleston this weekend and were VERY impressed. UD offers some fabulous hands on learning opportunities with an on campus restaurant and on-site hotel. The College of Charleston also has tons of opportunities within walking distance of campus in a true tourist destination. To me, it really comes down to the size of school your student wants and will feel comfortable in. Good luck with your decision!! It is awesome to have such wonderful options.

We live by UD and have visited both UD and Charleston and although I don’t know much about UD’s program in hospitality, I know Charleston centers around that industry and I believe location speaks for itself.
