<p>How competitive is the college of communications at Penn State? I just applied a couple of days ago. I was also wondering when I will hear back. I looked at the Penn State facebook page this weekend and a few people mentioned their acceptance. Would you assume that I'd hear back sometime in November? The priority deadline isn't until November 30th. Does anyone have experience with this?</p>

It more depends on your gpa/sat most likely…
If you are VERY high you might hear early Dec? But if your average you may not hear until sometime in January.</p>
<p>Comm is notoriously late in informing most of its students – we have a good friend with stellar stats and is local (so UP is our campus, which usually speeds things up) and he didn’t hear until early February. Don’t panic. S2 applied in early Sept and his status hasn’t changed yet; S1 applied in August (first day the app opened) and didn’t hear until late December. Can’t stress enough that PSU has the strangest admissions decision process :)</p>
