There’s a possible chance you didn’t get in because of not showing “demonstrated interest” and also for the chance that you may have been over qualified. I know, it sucks, but in some schools, if they think that they may be your safety or match and you didn’t take the time to show your interest (i.e. interviewing, emailing, live-chatting, touring, info sessions, getting on the mailing list, etc) then they won’t accept for the possibility that you might not even come because you were accepted elsewhere. It’s better for them if they accept the kids that will actually want to come if accepted than not.

I was waitlisted, with a 28 ACT, 4.33 W GPA. I wasn’t surprised I didn’t get in because I didn’t interact with them much - a couple emails and a request to be on the mailing list.

Hope this helps your mind settle a little bit.

Accepted in NY. Congrats to everyone accepted. Don’t stress if not. Been on the receiving end of that also.
This will all work out for everyone. Stats: 2180 super score SAT, 3.9 weighted. Capt. of a few sports etc.

I couldn’t see my decision b/c I forgot what I put as my “favorite author” for the security question haha. Guess I’ll be waiting a bit longer.

Accepted from California! 1850 SAT with a 3.7 GPA and tons of extra curriculars. Also from a jesuit high school and interviewed and everything

REJECTED FROM MASS: 1860 SAT; 3.7 GPA- 4 year varsity team; year round athlete for my sport; club team;
tons of volunteering; top 25 high school for academic rigor in mass; spent a weekend there and had a great experience. 9 AP classes and the rest Honors classes.

My portal says that my application was withdrawn! I am freaking out here. Why is this happening to me???

Accepted in CT! 2020 SAT score (680 math 660 reading 680 writing), got the same exact score both times I took it, also sent SAT II scores (700 lit 730 US history), 103.6 weighted GPA ranked 28/475 (i did have a 72 in my first symmester of physics, and it wasnt even honors/ap) tons of extra curriculars and comunity service with lots of leadership positions, really emotional CA essay (made my english teacher cry) and average letters of rec

Im super excited!!! My english teacher went to Holy Cross and he LOVED it! Not sure I’m definitaely going here though, still waiting to here from Wellesley and Barnard before making any comitments
