College of William and Mary - Any thoughts

Does anyone have any thoughts or experiences with the College of William and Mary.

It seems to be quite a good school, however, I am wondering if anyone has experience with corporate recruiters coming (or not coming) to the school.

Also, how does this school compare with UVA?

UVA is ranked higher, but William and Mary has the highest SAT average out of any state school in the nation. Not that any of these facts matter, since the two are both great schools. William and Mary seems more liberal-artsy, whereas UVA seems more pre-professional (since they have the business school and everything). William and Mary is also smaller, and well, it's in Williamsburg. I wouldn't be able to live in that town, but some people like it.

william and mary is...boring as hell. ive said it before and ill say it again - any school where you have to, in the words of one of my best friends who goes there, "sneak into the woods to smoke up" can't be the funnest of places to be.

I visited CWM and wasn't impressed. The campus was pretty boring and Williamsburg looked less active than Princeton, NJ (which I guess is my standard for comparison?). Then when I talked to a representative from the admissions department he basically told us that it isn't a diverse school. Now, I'm an Indian. If I specifically ask an admissions representative what the diversity is like, I'm going to want to hear about how the school attracts people from all walks of life and is striving to mirror the diversity found throughout the nation. Instead, he looked down with a disappointed face and told me how it ISN'T diverse without mentioning anything about trying to be MORE diverse. If your admissions department is that incompetent, I'm not going to like your school. All that combined with the fact that CWM is a public school and I'm not from VA (aka other students would get preference over me because of where they live and they'll prolly get benefits later on) and I could get a similar or better education less than 7 hours from my home compelled me to strike CWM off my list.

By the way, this is in the wrong forum.
