Congrats to your daughter!! Do you know when the email was sent?
Dated 3/24, arrived at 3:54 EST
Congratulations to your daughter.
Congrats!
From reading this thread some RD have already heard back, with the most recent yesterday. Is it normal for W&M to send out decisions like this rather than one release?
I hope this is not a bad sign for people not hearing early.
agree
I believe that the only people that received official admissions offers in the last day or two were only Monroe Scholars. Some others have received cypher postcards, but those are not official offers (although it’s a very good indication).
I think it’s just that they notify Monroe Scholars in batches. That only accounts for 10% of applicants. Most RD students will hear back all at once. Good luck!
Understood but it is discouraging for ones that do not receive in advance. More anxiety in acceptance status.
Ah, that makes sense. We’ll just sit over here and wait…patiently .
Has there been any indication when they are releasing?
Their website still says “by April 1st” but someone in this thread pointed out that in their Instagram account, admissions responded to someone’s question about when they are releasing decisions by saying “notifications will be sent by early April” - so it’s a bit unclear…
(corrected at 12:23 to indicate admissions comment was “by EARLY April” - not mid April - sorry for any confusion y’all!)
MID-April? That would be insane. If Ivy Day is 4/6 (?) I would hope that would be the latest date for W&M, too. Will not make it to mid-April, lol.
They’re still notifying some tiers of applicants while refusing to even give a decision release date for everyone else. Mystifying to me why they would do this???
Yes, at this point please just release a date.
It is discouraging for the rest of us hoping
I agree… this just doesn’t feel right.
All of these schools should be pushing back their acceptance dates if they are going to release decisions so late. Most kids haven’t had a chance to visit campuses and to have only a few weeks to do so now makes it really difficult. If my kid gets into W&M sometime in April, I think it’s possible he will have set his heart on something else before then.
I feel the same. We have to visit several colleges in person to make a solid decision and they are literally spread out throughout the USA. Will cost a small fortune in airline tickets on such short notice.
