My parents are only letting me apply to one of them and I have to narrow my list down by July. Discuss!

This isn’t a factual answer, but I associate tufts with great IR. Then again, I dont know as much about W and M.

Why can’t you apply to both? Admission isn’t a sure thing

Two great schools. Issue here is more setting, weather, D1 sports. That is where the biggest difference lies. Good luck, you cant go wrong with either one. Visit and you will get a “feel” for each school.

I go to W&M (so I’m obviously biased), and while I’m not an IR major, I’ve heard very good things about the program. On the other hand, I’m pretty sure Tufts is a great school, too.

So perhaps you should narrow it down with other factors? Have you visited either school? Size, location, requirements, etc. change from school to school, so maybe one or the other would be better for you for a variety of reasons as opposed to just the major quality. You should check each one out thoroughly if you haven’t already done so.

If you are in state, W&M is a better value, although I think Tufts is stronger in IR, although not so strong as to overwhelm W&M’s good value.
