Hi! I’m a rising junior and was looking for some recommendations for colleges with neuroscience (or something of that nature) programs that would be worth the hefty price tag that comes with a college education. I’m not sure if I’d want to get my PhD or MD after my bachelor’s, but schools with good research opportunities would be awesome. Also, I live in New Jersey, so I’m mostly looking at schools in the Mid Atlantic/Northeast region, although I’m open to going anywhere as long as the program is worth it and it’s financially possible.
I won’t give you a full run-down of my profile as a good majority of it hasn’t actually happened yet (test scores, AP classes, etc.), but I’m a pretty good student (4.0 GPA from freshman & sophomore years; 191 PSAT without studying) and I have already taken 2 college courses from Rutgers University (Dynamics of Healthcare and Medical Terminology). I’m also pretty active outside of my classes (clubs, swimming, marching band, volunteering, etc.). That being said, please don’t just give me a list of Ives and schools with 8% acceptance rates.
Also, if you have any experience with a program (be it from your own education, your child’s, sibling’s or a friend’s), a brief description would be absolutely fantastic. Thanks!
